Easy install & seems to be working correctly.
I couldn't find a combination smoke and flame alarm at the hardware stores near me, so this bedroom specific alarm was a perfect find. Previously we only had an alarm in the hallway, so now having alarms in all three bedrooms has given me major peace of mind, in case a fire originated in the bedroom and the door was closed. They were easy to install as well.

We had a minor scare when a defective CFL bulb in our bedroom failed and began to smoke, setting off our bedroom smoke alarm. We had not yet installed smoke alarms in our other bedrooms, plus our alarm was nearing its end of life, so I took this opportunity to research smoke alarms and see what was available. It turns out that UL is updating their smoke alarm standards UL217 to an 8th edition. This will require better sensing technology to reduce nuisance alarms as well as to better detect polyurethane foam fires. Only a few alarms sold today meet this standard, this one from USI being one of them. Having a 10 year battery in it is also a big plus, doing away with yearly battery changes. These were easy to install I made sure to keep at least three feet away from the ceiling fan blades. Now our bedrooms are protected for the next 10 years.

Received 10 detectors, all were easy to install and worked well under test. Hopefully, we don't have to find out how they work with a home fire.

Fast delivery and easy to install. I replaced my 14 year old hard wired alarms and was able to use the same mounting bracket. I will let you know in 1-0 years if the batteries last that long---

The title says it all. Battery never needs changing for the life of the detector. Since battery powered works even in a power failure.
