Invested in new detectors for whole house: hard wired smoke, smoke and CO with sealed battery backup, sealed battery smoke and CO. Had to rewire as different plug than older units. Took a few hours almost 20 units, but straightforward. Happy with decision, purchase, and products.

HOW OFTEN SHOULD I REPLACE THE BATTERY IN MY SMOKE, CO AND NATURAL GAS ALARMS?

Many of our alarms come with a 10-year sealed Permanent Power battery that never needs replacing during the 10 year life of the alarm. Batteries in non sealed alarms should be replaced at least once a year or when the low battery signal sounds.
