I dont need allergy med

Love this item! Was getting migraines every morning due to allergy to our new rescue dog who sleeps in our bedroom. Now use this on the allergy setting and I don't have headaches any more. It is inconspicuous, nice looking, and it works! I am delighted with this purchase.

Quiet and fresh smelling

The sound is quiet enough. I still turn it off at night because any sound is too much sound! but the air is fresh and the setup was easy.

The Quiet One

I was amazed how quiet the unit is. I've had other brands that you knew it was in the room due to the noise. The Bluetooth option really separates the HPA250 from the rest. Very happy!

How effective is the Honeywell HPA-250B at removing allergens?
The Honeywell HPA-250B is a high efficiency particulate air (HEPA) air purifier, which means it can remove up to 99.97% of airborne particles 0.3 microns and larger. This includes dust, pollen, pet dander, and mold spores. The portable air purifier also has an activated carbon pre-filter that helps remove odors and VOCs.
What is a Honeywell Bluetooth Air Purifier?
It's a smart air purifier that allows you to easily control the unit from your iPhone or Android mobile phone.
How big of a room can the Honeywell HPA-250B clean?
The Honeywell HPA-250B is rated to clean rooms up to 310 square feet. This makes it a large room air purifier. However, the actual size of the room that the HPA100 can clean will depend on the level of air pollution in the room.
How loud is the Honeywell HPA-250B?
The Honeywell HPA-250B has four settings, and the noise level varies depending on the setting. At the lowest speed, this home air purifier is about as quiet as a whisper. At the highest speed, the portable air purifier is about as loud as a normal conversation.
How often do I need to change the filters on the Honeywell HPA-250B?
The Honeywell HPA-250B comes with a pre-filter and a HEPA filter. The pre-filter should be replaced every 1-3 months, and the HEPA filter should be replaced every 6-12 months. InSight Air Purifiers can also use enhanced filters that should be replaced every 3 months. The actual replacement schedule will depend on the level of air pollution in the room.
What filters do I need for the HPA-250B?
The HPA-250B uses Replacement True HEPA Filter R and Replacement Pre-filter A.
My Air Purifier is starting to make noise and the air output is less. What's wrong?
The filters may be dirty. High amounts of contaminants can block the pores in the filter and stop the air from moving through it. Replace the Filters. The HEPA Filters should be replaced every year and the Pre-Filter and Enhanced Odor and VOC Filters should be replaced every 3 months. Please note these are guidelines only and filters should be checked periodically as individual home conditions may vary. To ensure the unit is performing properly, replace with Certified Genuine Honeywell Filters.
How long should I run my Air Purifier?
In general, the unit will be most effective when doors and windows are closed. It is recommended that you run your air purifier while you are at home to help clean the air. If desired or conditions warrant, you may run your air purifier 24 hours a day
Can I wash any of the filters in my Air Purifier?
No. Washing the filters in your air purifier will ruin them.
What are VOCs?
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) are emitted from various solids and liquids such as paints, cleaning supplies, building materials, and permanent markers. Some of these compounds can have adverse short and long term health effects and consistently have higher concentrations indoors than outside.
Do Honeywell Air Purifiers Emit Ozone?
No, Honeywell HEPA Air Purifiers use HEPA Filtration that does not release ozone into the surrounding area.
Is this a good air purifier for smoke?
The Honeywell HPA-250B HEPA air purifier can capture up to 99.97% of airborne allergens and particles 0.3 microns and larger from any air passing through the filter, including smoke. It is AHAM Verifide meaning that it has been independently tested to ensure its efficiency in reducing smoke in a suggested room size of 310 sq. ft.. The CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) Rating for smoke is 200.

Your Bluetooth Smart v4.0 compatible iPhone or Android device can be used as a remote control for your home air purifier. You can operate your home air purifier from another room in your home within 30 ft. of the Bluetooth Smart device. The app also offers additional features not available in standard air purifiers, such as proximity sensing for auto shut-off/turn on, air quality alerts and auto-operation based on conditions in your zip code and operation scheduling. The Honeywell True HEPA Allergen Remover is designed for large rooms (310 sq. ft.).2 This portable air purifier can help provide cleaner, fresher air while still looking sleek and not taking up too much space. The hepa air purifier can help capture up to 99.97% of airborne allergens and particles.1 The sum of these features elevates the unit as a premier pet air purifier. The Bluetooth air purifier also features an auto VOC sensor that operates the air purifier automatically. The highly effective filters help reduce odors and VOCs.3

How the home air purifier works: a fan continuously draws in airborne pollutants. The dirty air passes through the activated carbon pre-filter that traps large particles and absorbs VOCs, gases and odors. The air then passes through the HEPA filter that captures the really small particles, such as dust, pollen, pet dander, smoke, mold spores and more. The filtered, cleaner and fresher smelling air is then circulated back into the room.

A+ Genuine Pre-Filter or A Pre-Cut Pre-filter

This portable air purifier works with a Honeywell A Pre-Cut Pre-filter or A+ Pre-Filter. The Pre-Filter is the first level of filtration and helps capture large particles such as dust, lint, fibers and pet fur. It also helps to reduce VOCs & odors from cooking, smoke, bathrooms and pets. This filter should be replaced every 3 months. The filter check/reset light will remind you when it’s time to change your filter. Initial filter included. To ensure stated product performance, use only genuine and certified Honeywell replacement filters.

R Certified True HEPA Filter

For optimal cleaning performance, replace your HEPA filter every 12 months. The filter check/reset light on the HPA8350 Air Cleaner will remind you when it’s time to change your filter. AHAM Verifide

This air purifier for allergies is AHAM (Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers) Verifide meaning that it has been independently tested to ensure its efficiency in reducing smoke, dust and pollen in the suggested room size. The AHAM assigns a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) Rating that measures the volume of filtered air delivered by an air cleaner. The Honeywell HPA-250B Bluetooth Smart True HEPA Air Purifier received the following CADR Rating:

  • 4.8 Air changes per hour in a 310 sq. ft. room2
  • Tobacco Smoke: 200
  • Dust: 190
  • Pollen: 180
  1. From the air that passes through the filter, 0.3 microns and larger.
  2. Based on 3rd party independent CADR testing for the smoke CADR value when operated at the highest level. Air circulation depends on many factors, such as room size and configuration. There is no guarantee that all of the air in a room will pass through the filter.
